Hi I have 4x2gb ddr2 rams recently I discovered that one of them was faulty so I am using it with only 3 plugged in (6gb total) and was looking to buy a stick to replace the faulty one, and I came across this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CORSAIR-XMS2-xtreme-CM2X2048-6400C5-2GB-DDR2-5-5-5-18-240-PIN-RAM/322892597158?hash=item4b2de607a6:g:k-IAAOSwnTdaEfIh

It is the exact same ram as mine but instead of v4.3 (which is mine) this is v6.2. Could I use this ram with my other 3 sticks? They have the same timings, speed, would I have any problems?

Yes and no. There's absolutely no guarantee it will work, regardless of how identical the sticks might be. Ram is made from silicon, and cut from 1 sheet. You'll find the best compatability from the same batch, which is where the factory makes kits of 2,3,4 etc. Very possible to have a stick numbered 9899 serial and that stick is from batch A and have the very next stick manufactured, being 0001 from batch B, being totally non cooperative and not working with anything from batch A, even though it's identical in every way, coming off the line exactly next.
So with your ram, even if every timing, (there's over 30 different timing settings in primary, secondary, tertiary tiers) was identical, voltage, brand, model identical, there's still...

It's totally pot-luck. Best bet is and always will be, buy a full working kit, not separates. A kit is factory tested to work with all sticks, nothing else is.

So while yes, the ram you want to buy is a viable replacement, it may or may not work, there's simply no way to know until tried.

Ok thank you very much, I'll find one that I can return so if it doesn't work I'll just give it back.
