Hello, i built myself a PC back in 2013 and i have been able to run the Witcher 3 on Medium settings at a steady 40 FPS, and other newer games at a playable rate. However i find that in more demanding games like Rust, Just Cause 3 my computer drops many frames at any given moment then goes back to normal. I am thinking it could be my processor. Here are my specs:

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) X4 860K Quad Core Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.7GHz

Memory: 8192MB RAM

DirectX Version: DirectX 12

Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 270x

Motherboard: MSI A78M-E35 FM2+ / FM2 AMD A78 (Bolton D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Which of these should i be upgrading if i want an increase in performance? i have tested my graphics card on system requirements lab and it has told me that it's pretty damn good.

I'm sorry this advice is probably not what you want to here. Either upgrade your system or drop all your game settings to low(may not help). Oh and sorry your video card is not, well what you said. sorry again.

If you can afford it just buy a gtx1060
