I was wondering if I could switch out the antenna that came with the Gigabyte - GC-WB867D-I PCI-Express x1 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi Adapter. Is that possible to get any antenna and screw it on the same way on the connectors of the slot? Can this result in poor speeds? am I forced to use only the antenna that they provided, if i needed a replacement or wanted something that looked different for design purposes?

you will find that most replacement antenna have the proper connection for your system and some are table top through the +25db external wall mounted farm antenna.
