I've been out of the pc part world for a little but and would like some advice on a Budget build for family member who is in need of a new computer. Will be used for everyday things, would like it to have some capability for gaming, nothing crazy I dont think. Would like an SSD to speed things up in general. For the gaming part it would mostly be light gaming, 1080p, Games would maybe be Strategy games, like Civ etc.

Budget would be around $500-700 Canadian. Don't need any peripherals or OS.

Build I quickly put together to get a base. Let me know if I should swap things.

I have a gtx 670 from my old build that ill use for this build. Also should I go with 8gb of RAM or just do 1x4gb stick?

Optimized for better performance and longevity...

Thank you for the build. Looks great. Is there any parts that could go cheaper? Cpu maybe? I would like to have 2 different price points/builds and let him decide if he would really want the extra power for the $.

Dont go any cheaper, or it will compromise performance...
