So when I got a new pc, I took my old hdd out of my old pc. After around 5 years, the old thing would frequently crash. It once legit crashed when I moved my mouse quickly. So since the HDD is outdated IDE, and the new pc doesnt have that, I cant just plug it in. But i'm scared if I get an adapter, plugging the old HDD in will damage something, because its so slow and outdated, and possibly semi-corrupted. So how would I get the data I need off it SAFELY? Where could I go to have someone else put it on a USB? Could I bring it to Best Buy and have them get the stuff off it?
