Hello, I am building a PC for my kids to play some games on. I built it with some parts from my old build, but they should still run ok. This is the current setup:

Proc: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G3258 @ 3.20GHz, 3201 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)

Mobo: Gigabyte Z97MX-Gaming 5

Memory: 16GB

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670

OS: Microsoft Windows 10 64bit

I put a 500 watt Power supply in it, and a 120 gb SSD with an additional 500gb HD.

I put games such as Overwatch, Destiny 2, Minecraft, and Hero's of the Storm on it and they just seem to run like garbage. Is my comp just not good enough for these games or could there be another issue?

Solution
Make sure the GPU drivers are up to date.

I would then overclock that G3258 as far as it will safely go. As SR-71 Blackbird said the dual core in newer games won't run so well, even some i3's are struggling even though they have the extra threads. Try the new GPU drivers and the overclock and see if that helps improve performance a bit.

I didn't mean to vote your response down, I'm not too familiar with posting to this site yet.

But, would that hold me back to the point where I am getting less than 15 fps on Overwatch playing at medium settings? The graphics look horrible as well.

I get that would help a ton, that's pretty much what I have in my PC. I was looking at keeping this as low cost as possible with still allowing my kids to be able to play games at even "ok" settings. Any suggestions on getting to an at least playable settings on the games I mentioned?
