Can a 24 bit/ 96 kHz sound card handle music rated at 24 bit/ 192 kHz?

I have a Creative Sound Blaster Omni 5.1 USB external sound card. Most of my music collection was ripped from CDs using default FLAC settings. I prefer to create lossless copies of my music so that I have original sources to create lossy copies such as MP3 or AAC depending on whether I switch to either an Apple or Android smartphone. I am considering the possibility of ditching the purchase of physical CDs and purchasing lossless copies from HDtracks.com. If I switch to lossless audio file purchases, I would like to purchase the highest audio quality setting available. I will possibly purchase a sound system in the future such as a Sonos or Bose and connect my computer and TV to it. In the interim, I will be using my sound card which is rated up to 24 bit/96 kHz. If I were to purchase an album rated at 24 bit / 192 kHz in either ALAC or FLAC, would the sound card be able to play the audio up to the 96 kHz mark or would I have to buy a new sound card rated for 192 kHz to be able to hear the audio? Thanks.

You can play a 192ksps/24bits 7.1 file on an original SoundBlaster if you wanted to. The software/API/OS would simply downsample it to 8ksps 8bits mono.
