Good evening everyone, I'm going through a problem at this moment that I'm really sad.

I finished the assembly of my new gamer pc, bought everything new, my motherboard strix z370e, my cpu 8700k and my video card 1080ti, I'm using liquid cooling, let's go to my problem.

The only piece used is my PSU Corsair RM1000, which I used on my old pc, I know it's not a good PSU, but it was working normal.

I turned on the PSU key and turned on the motherboard lights, and I pressed the start button of my case, I heard a beep on my PSU and nothing, it does not turn on, nothing works, fans, absolutely nothing.

It was very strange because it turned on the lights on the motherboard that means that the PSU is passing power to the motherboard.

Can someone give me a solution to solve this problem?

Will it be that I've inserted some wrong cable somewhere wrong?

What I did, see if this is correct:

I connected the 24-pin EATXPWR
I also connected the 8-pin EATX12V (cpu side connector) here I got something strange and I was in doubt, this connector of my strix z370e motherboard is 10-pin gaming, being that my cable only has 8-pin, two pin were empty. Is that the problem?
I also connected the cable to the video card (8-pin + 8-pin) normally. The rest I connected everything normally, molex, satas, ssd, hdd.

Will this PSU 1000w be insufficient for my system or will it be that I have a broken PSU?

Please, somebody help me, I'm very sad about all this.

My system:
Case Corsair 900D
two pumps swiftech
20 fans
z370 strix z370e gaming
i7 8700K
64GB DDR4 RAM
Aorus 1080 Ti WB xtreme edition (single gpu, not SLI)
PSU Corsair RM1000w

Edit:

My cpu connector does not have 10-pin, it's 8-pin even, I had it wrong, but I fixed it and I thought the problem was this, but so far no success.

Thank you

Update: Today I removed the PSU and installed it on my father's pc, it worked normal. So the PSU is working perfectly.

Unfortunately I will have to disassemble the entire computer and put it on the countertop and go mounting component by component and testing.

it all very strange. The motherboard, cpu and video card are news, and the memories worked normal on another pc.

Question: 1000w this being little to turn on my pc or is this bullshit think this?
My specs:
2 pumps swiftech
20 fans
single gpu 1080ti xtreme edition
i7 8700k
64gb ram ddr4 ( 4x16gb) gskill 3200mhz
z370e strix gaming

In your mobo manual, section 1.1.7 shows your mobo comes with 5 led. They are located near upper right corner. They are boot, VGA, DRAM, CPU, and PWR led. When you power on, PWR LED should be on. If the any of the first 4 are on, it indicates an error is found on that component. You need to fix that one. Not sure if you notice any of them.

Here is a link to your manual that I follow.

Nice guide, thank you! I always set up my computers very carefully, I just did the test on my PSU, putting a metal of the green and black wire, the psu was doing the same beep and did not turn the fan. PSU is dead?

I believe that that model PS has 3 years warranty. I RMA online my Corsair 750W one month ago due to smell burning coming off of it. It was only 2 years old and I have to show proof of purchase for them to approve to get a replacement.
