I just built my PC from components from Black Friday and a couple of things I've had. Booted up, no video output... So I went through the checklist of possible problems, and they didn't work. I also tried: moving the gpu from one slot to another, removing the gpu, clearing CMOS, having only one stick of ram, and changing cables/monitors. I was clearing my hard drive but forgot to reformat, I'm hoping that might not be the problem though.
