First time posting here and first time attempting to build a unit. Bought all of my parts new except the case from my old set up. Like magic it turned on first try!
Checking over my performance I realize I am only running a single channel at 16 GB. No matter how I reconfigure the slots it appears impossible to get it to go dual. One glaring thing I have noticed is the 2nd RAM slot appears dead - on it's own the PC will not fire up and combined with another slot it will only show the 8GBs.
I have updated the mobo bios, tried loosening the heatsink etc. Is this likely a case of a malfunctioning mobo? Can all RAM dual channel if the mobo supports it? (Rookie I know, I know)
