All from amazon total £1,200

Questions

1) Will the 550 watt supply be able to run the gtx 1070 and i5-7600k

2)Is the cpu fan cooler sufficient for the i5-7600k which I plan to oc

3) Does the selected mobo support oc

4)Any other suggestions?

Solution
We'll the 1700 is very good, I was thinking 1600 but if you can squeeze in the 1700 then why not. I doubt the 1700 will give any advantage over the 1600 when gaming at 76Hz but will do better with multi tasking or streaming.

I'd happily own either 1600 or 1700 with a GTX1070. I don't know if that's a good motherboard or not, will let someone else confirm.

PSU will be able to run fine, though at this budget I suggest upping your PSU budget for TXM for more longevity overall:

Yes, motherboard supports overclocking.

Start saving for a HDD.

It's a good build but since Ryzen released I have a hard time recommending a 4 core i5. Games are starting to benefit from more than 4 cores. Also since 8th gen cpu's released 4 core has been demoted to i3 with i5's now coming with 6 cores. Personally Id either go i5 8600k or Ryzen 1600.

Yeah I was suggested ryzen since it has more cores, i5-8600k is a bit too expensive but I don't mind.

Which shall I go for ryzen 5 1600 or i5-8600k, both have 6 cores and can be overclocked?
Which will go better with the gtx 1070?

Hmm I really don't know the differences between the Hz, could you explain a bit. The current monitor I have is 76hz
As for resolution, I want to be able to run most games at 1080p and the demanding ones like battlefield atleast at mid settings perferably high. What kind of performance would I get with 6 core and gtx 1070?

I guess I'll go with 144hz, does this mean any fps over 144 is wasted? Is this how it works?

I really do want to overclock, the ryzen 7 1700 has 8 cores , shall I go for it?
