Hi all! I am looking for a power supply around 450-550 Watts for my build.

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600
GPU: 1060 6GB (Asus Dual Fan)
Motherboard: Asus Prime B350-Plus

I was looking at the Corsair CX550M however it is just a little more than I want to spend. Do you guys have any other suggestions?

Thanks!

That's the least I would recommend for your system quality wise if on a budget, the CX550M is a decent PSU while still in the more affordable range.

The PSU is the last thing you want to cheap out on, it is the most important part of the whole system. Saving a few bucks could cost you a lot more in the long run in damaged parts.

Personally I would recommend the TX550M, but since you are on a budget...... The CX550M is tolerable...

For this budget/tier build, a corsair CX450m/CX550m is the minimum I'd recommend in terms of quality and performance.

What is your budget and what retailers are you purchasing from.

And yes, your PSU shouldn't be left to pick last with hardly any budget left. After all it's the most important part of a system.

The verdict is still out on the newer CXM's when using them in gaming machines as far as longevity goes and stability over a period of time as they are still new updated units. And the CXM's aren't made for those types of systems like yours, nor are any of the budget PSU's so it's just not Corsair.
