New Motherboard - Unable to load drivers, Keyboard & Mouse won't work

I've just upgraded my hardware; New Motherboard, CPU, CPU Cooler, RAM and Case. However I can't load the new Motherboard drivers because the keyboard and mouse are un responsive once windows (7) is loaded. Note: they work in BIOS.

I'm working on the assumption that the USB ports aren't working correctly because they're part of the Mobo drivers. So I can get to the windows home screen, but nothing beyond that.

The Mobo driver CD isn't self executing, and I can't use the mouse / keyboard to force it to start. I've tried swapping my CD Drive to the primary boot device to re-load windows, but get the error 'reboot and select proper boot device'. I've used the installation CD and the CD drive before so I don't know why I get that message.

Steps taken so far, with no improvement:
- Using a USB to PS/2 adaptor for keyboard and mouse
- Re-wire USB connectors to different Mobo ports
- Disabling / enabling Legacy mode in BIOS

Any help greatly appreciated!!

Hardware:
MSI x299 M7 2066 Motherboard
Intel Core i7-7800x
MSI GTX 1070 GPU
Corsair H100i V2 CPU Cooler
16gb Quad Channel Corsair Dominator RAM
2x Corsair 180GB Force GS SSD's
Corsair Crystal 570x Case

Solution
You have to use that tool on a functioning PC to build customized installation files for your new PC. The process is called slipstreaming. It adds necessary drivers into a Windows install set.

No, I haven't seen that before!

Not sure I've understood it correctly though; do you use that tool on your old setup, or a completely different pc, and essentially copy the Windows file and map a USB drive to be readable, allowing that to be seen as a bootable device in the BIOS? How does that work if I can't use the USB ports before the drivers are loaded?

Awesome - Thanks for the speedy reply!

I'll give it a go and feedback.
