Hey guys,
Im putting together a new PC and was wondering how to determine the wattage of the PSU I will need?

My specs are:
-CPU: i7-7700
-Mobo: ASUS Strix Z270H Gaming Motherboard
-Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2A2400C16 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4
-Graphics: ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Gaming OC Edition
-Samsung 960 EVO NVMe M.2 250GB SSD

Thanks :D

Solution
A quality 450w PSU will meet your needs. However, I would recommend one with a bit more capacity to accommodate any future upgrades (~650w). What is your budget for a PSU?
There are power consumption calculators if you do a simple search for them online.

450W would be just fine with that system.

If you plan to upgrade to a more powerful GPU later, you might go with a larger PSU.

The most important part is whether you have a quality power supply or not.

Not really sure about price range, perhaps something ~$150? (Australian dollars). If I was to change from a 1050 ti GPU to a 1080, how much larger PSU would I need if I was to make that change in the future?

The main power-drawing components are likely to be your CPU and GPU. An I7-7700 only has a 65 watt TDP and a 1050 Ti has a 75 watt TDP, and figure maybe another 50 or so watts for your other components, meaning the system likely wouldn't be drawing much more than 200 watts from the PSU under load. So technically, just about any PSU would be able to provide enough wattage to work. You should ideally look for a PSU around 500 watts from a good brand, such as Seasonic for example, so that you're never pushing the PSU to its limits even if you decide to pick up more power-hungry components in the future.
