High Memory Usage (nibkwso.exe)

For some reasons, I have nibkwso.exe (Windows Process Manager instead of the famous svchost) taking up big space on my 4gb ram. But I wonder where is the memory leak coming from since my ram usage is at 3gb usage. No one had a thread about this specific process taking up space so I am making one.

Before that I had a problem where a popup came when I started the computer. tikbgze(Print Driver Host) cache was corrupted, please run chkdsk utility. And so I tried to run chkdsk but then it told me chkdsk won't run because of some recently installed software. I uninstalled avast(advice from forums) and it made things worse when I tried to install it again. It's UI is not working.

So I tried to run adware and malwarebytes to see if it is a virus but it isn't.

I am now going to try this Windows System Repair Disc in a couple of hours and see if it works.
I now cannot continue my work because of this. It would be appreciated if there is an answer.

EDIT: Okay for some reason despite all the depression I had, When I chose the option "Last Known Good Configuration" from advanced boot options (spamming f8 when starting). Everything fixed for me, that corrupted sh*t..i mean cache that's causing my depression was gone. nibkwso.exe was not interrupting my ram usage anymore. Thanks for all the help anyway!

We can now close this thread

Well not sure if it's a malware or not but I highly suspect that process as I've never seen that process run on any of my computers.

Do a full antivirus scan with an up-to-date antivirus software. Or right click and click 'Open file location' button and check if you suspect anything.

If everything fails better backup important files quickly and format your PC installing a fresh Windows

Ok I have tried to open the file location and it told me "C:/Users/User/Appdata/Local/tikbgze is not accessible, Access is denied".

This solves a bit of the problem since it relates to that popup I just had ( tikbgze cache corrupted). Ok so I just have to run chkdsk but I can't run it because of recent software installation. Uninstalling the AV didn't work, I dont have any restore points.

How do I install a fresh copy of windows if I don't have the CD?

And my Avast UI is not working.

If you don't have a Windows Installation disc then you only have two options-

i) Either fully reset your PC (This will erase all of your data)
ii) Download a copy of Windows and do a fresh installation

Though if the virus has infected the boot sector then I doubt if resetting will help at all so a fresh installation is the best bet. I'd also recommend to backup any important data on a separate media like a USB Flash Drive

Thanks for the reply.

I can't download a copy because it required my product code (25 characters?)

It does not let me perform chkdsk, I can't create a system restore disc because it can't read the disc.( Incorrect function.)

I am in such a bind. I am bound to lose this. Wasted a day to buy some disks
