I am building a pc and was checking out the specs of a motherboard and I did not understand what it said under onboard video. I copied and pasted the specs below. Does this mean that even if I use a graphics card (I plan to use a 1060 6gb) that only 2gb of the memory will work? It may be a stupid question, but I do not know.

Onboard Video Chipset
Multi-VGA output support: HDMI, DVI-D, D-Sub ports
- Supports HDMI 1.4b with max. resolution 4096 x 2160@24Hz / 2560 x 1600@60Hz
- Supports DVI-D with max. resolution up to 1920 x 1200 @60Hz
- Supports D-Sub with max. resolution up to 1920 x 1200 @60Hz
- Maximum shared memory of 2048MB

Solution
Those motherboard specs are for using onboard video , your using a dedicated graphics card = 1060 so your fine.
