GPU overclocking benchmark

Okay so I ran Unigine Valley Benchmark when I was overclocking my GTX 1080. Problem is, when I play Battlefield 1 I experienced lack of GPU memory on one particular map (Empire's Edge). Not while the action is going on, but specifically when I select which squad to join, the screen goes nuts for a little time.

So I would like to ask which is the best, most demanding benchmark software out there, I want to push my card to its limits and a good software is necessary to do so.

Also, I am quite new in this overclocking stuff, if you could give some advice it would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

hmmm, i've a gtx1060 6gb and I don't have any such problems with memory. Yours is an 8gb card. I play BF1 alot, Empires Edge, and and all maps. Never an issue. I wouldn't say your card is the problem. Something else maybe going on. Run something like HWmon and then run a game. Alt tab out of BF1 and take a screenshot of HWmon, so we can the details of what is happening in the back round. You can use MSI Afterburner to monitor the GPU and can OC the GPU with the same software. Although I would say OC your card is not the answer to your problem. That card is plenty powerful to run that game in Ultra, unless your gaming on a 4k monitor.

Misunderstanding, I wasn't clear enough. This appears when I overclock my card. I put +550Mhz on the memory clock and this happens. But only on that squad selection screen, during gameplay no problems appear, and this is the one and only case I could experience this, otherwise everything goes all smooth.

without wanting to state the obvious, but you're prob just pushing the card too hard. maybe dial it back until you don't have the same problems. Have you changed the voltage on the GPU with afterburner or anything? have you done all stressing at stock to see what your baseline is, and then compare it the results you get when OC'ing the card?
