hello everyone,
building my first PC, gained tones of knowledge about new generation CPU, MB and GPU
am going with:
- ryzen5, 1600
- 8Gb RAM
- Gtx 1050 ti ( still not sure about the brand )
- MSI B350 Tomahawk/ Gaming plus/ Pro carbon ( still not sure yet )

am planning to keep this build for the next 4-5 years especially the am4 socket for the next ryzen generation, my question is, is it dangerous to overclock a GPU without 6 pin power to 1850/1900 Mhz, will that be killing my motherboard ?

Solution
The powered ones will probably have heatpipe coolers, and maybe 2 fans. It costs more to build them. The cheap ones (which is what I own) just have an aluminum heatsink and fan. At base speed there would be no difference.
The GTX1050Ti doesn't NEED the 6 pin PCIe cable to run. But for overclocking look for one that has it. Then you will have an extra 75W for your overclock. A heatpipe cooler instead of a fansink will also help with your overclocking the GPU. The 1050s claim to fame is not needing the PCIe so it works in OEM computers. You might think about just getting the GTX1060 to start with. Extra monay on the GPU is always well spent. You will enjoy it more, and you won't have to "buy twice" to upgrade the 1050 later. Also you didn't mention PSU. A cheap PSU can damge other parts without you knowing it. Buy quality there. Look at the testing websites like Johhnyguru or others. NOT user reviews!.

thanks for answer,
the PSU is 550w Bronze
the gtx 1060 is like double price here, plus i will not be using that much modern games, just some CS, WoW, LoL, maybe 2-3 modern games like GTA5, BF1 ( ilike fps games ) custom Graphics my hold good performance
the thing is that non powered 1050s are remarkably cheaper but thanks fopr answer, i will choose the MSI gamingX or Asus Strix as peace of mind :).
thanks again
