Hello, I have an amd ASUS M4N98TD EVO AM3. I would like to confirm #1 that CPU AMD Phenom ii x6 1090t and more so AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition CPUS are compatible with this MOBO. (I have assumed that I would be limited to quad core, I have a AMD Phenom II X4 945 Deneb Quad-Core 3.0 GHz {about 7 year old build}. I have a touch of over volt, running at ~3.8 ghz.
So my next #2 question is should I notice any difference with the used 1100T with an OC to hopefully 4 ghz or so with my aftermarket cooler. I do some campain/story mode gaming. No online competitive stuff. In other words, should I bother upgrading CPU in your opinion? I do not want to start a new build for quiet a while.
Advice much appreciated, THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Thanks,of course I should have thought of that! But secondly would you think that upgrading to the 1100T would make a noticeable difference gaming, programs, browsing... over the phenom II X4 945 Deneb, Or would i be better off putting the $130 toward my next build? after all if I bought a chip, it would obviously not be new. (I also have upgraded GPU, and HDD to SSD with much pleasure.) I guess running newer games better without a big investment is the main goal.
Thanks again advance! (maybe am4 will be cheaper to build in a few years as well)
