Only half RAM available, even though all detected within BIOS.

I bought a set of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM, 4x8GB to go with my MSI X200 SLI Pro Motherboard. Within the bios it shows that all 4 are detected within their slots each with the 8GB of ram, but under total RAM it only shows 16GB. I looked within windows and it also only reads 16gb RAM. Am I missing something? Why am I only getting half the RAM out of the 4 sticks?

Solution
Not necessarily a motherboard fault.

Remove CPU and check it and its socket for damaged, or bent pins/pads. There shouldn't be any dust, dirt, nor debris of any kind on or amongst the pins and pads.

Remount CPU carefully and evenly. Uneven mounting of CPU can cause loss of pin/pad contact between the CPU and its socket with memory issues often occurring due to this.

I probably should have checked this prior to posting, but I'm a newbie. So I checked each RAM slot and 4 of the 8 do not work. The C1,C2,D1,D2 slots do not seem to function. I think it's safe to say this is a motherboard malfunction and not a setting? These are the four slots that are supposed to be used if it were a dual channel configuration so I can't see how it's anything but a defect. Going to give MSI a call tomorrow.
