I've been diggin all around and finding similar issues, but I wanted to get straight to the point here...
Several months ago I switched my stock PSU for an EVGA 450B Bronze PSU because on my new build, my PC kept restarting randomly (especially when doing multiple tasks like watching YouTube videos WHILE downloading other YouTube videos with software. This happens pretty consistently when I'm doing that, to the point that I can almost feel the moment when I've mistepped a couple seconds in advance before it restarts.)

BUT the new PSU hasn't done anything but basically increased the time I have until it decides to restart. Sometimes the PC will be sitting there on, nothing happening and just reboot itself suddenly.

Specs:
EVGA 450B Bronze PSU
AMD FX-8300
ASUS M5A78L-M Plus
16gb DDR3
Windows 10 Home

This builds appears that it should work perfectly. What are the first steps I should take to seeing how i can fix the problem? And if those don't solve it, where do I go next?

Solution
Tested each stick of ram on it's own?

Otherwise if not the psu would i look at the motherboard+8core cpu that maybe get's the vrm's overheated. You could try and clock the cpu down,or at least not letting it go turbo.Turn that feature off in the bios.

Seems like Vic 40’s under-clocking solution is what works. I moved down to 2.0Ghz- which hurts considering my previous processor ran at 2.6. But I’m not seeing any drop in performance and my monitoring software gives VERY big differences in temperature depending on clock speeds- 10-15° difference at the baseline.

If any other issue arises, I’ll definitely be posting again because I have been having just the WEIRDEST time with this whole build! A couple days ago the system randomly crashed and seemingly BSOD’d for a second saying some sort of “1394 sys” failure (I’m using an audio interface as my primary sound card).
