I'm planning to build a gaming PC that uses the i5 7600k which is marketed as LGA 1151 socket. I am planning to use the CRYORIG H5 ultimate which says that it is compatible with LGA 115X, so does LGA 115X equal LGA 115 ?
All feedback is appreciated,
Thanks.

The four digits of the socket represent the number of pins or contacts the part has. Your LGA 1151 will have 1151 pins. They replaced the last digit with an "X" for convenience. As all the current LGA sockets start with 115, all the "X" represents the last digit of the total pin count of the socket. Instead of writing them all out (i.e. 1151, 1155, 1156). So your CPU and cooler are compatible with all 115X series of CPU's.
