Hey there strangers,

Sorry for the long story, couldn't cut it shorter.

I got an LG 42ls5600, and had in the past some problems with the headphone input.
I've lived a happy life, untill 1 day out of the blue my headphone input broke off.
As you all know TV companies like to construct there TV's in a way so you would return to them with more money, especially LG.

There began my journey an I searched for a solution online and found it finally, I had to replace the headphone input that I bought from an online shop.
My Tv worked an I lived happy again, untill it broke off again, because superglue wasn't strong enough apparently.

I decided to solder the ****** piece, but apparently technicians couldn't solder the piece because its made out of material that doesnt mix with solder, like water and oil.
So the piece itself was ruined because of the superglue, solder and a lot of agression.

So now,
I bought 2 pieces this time, but both worked only when the headphones are plugged in.
I searched online again and someone proposed to use a matchstick, it looked like something a fool would do and it was, I used all kind of sticks but without results.

After that I came accros a forum that said to buy a service remote( remote only for sellers or lg technicians (€60) or download anyremote (free) and change the settings of headphones to zero.

The topic was old and apparently anyremote isnt free anymore, offcourse why not, so I payed the €7,49 and got the app.
After following instructions, the menu tools 3 (for changing headphone settings to zero) was not accesible.
And thats how u drain 7,50 down the toilet.
It seems that only the rare specials within badluck like to stick with me.
Anyone suggestions on how to repair this???

Solution
If you get sound only with headphones: Most headphone sockets are designed in such a way as to cut the main sound when headphones are plugged. This is done by a contact inside the socket, which closes a circuit on the TV' PCB. Most probably, replacing the socket was not done properly, and that circuit does not close anymore - your TV "thinks" your headphones are always plugged in.
