Old see installed in pc can't find folders or files

I installed an old ssd drive I had on my pc, it shows up under my computer as Local Disk (E.) But i cant access any files in the drive. What am I doing wrong

Copy those files to elsewhere.
Wipe that drive completely.
Create a few top level folders (Pic/Doc/Vid), and copy the files back into the appropriate folders.

So I was able to find all my files once I started diving into it. I have access to all my stuff!
Is there any way to make like the picture folders from the 2nd drive appear under My Pictures? Instead of having to surf through the drive to get to them?
