Hello everyone,

I have a PC I bought my son a few years ago. The system is strugling with games and looking into upgrading some parts especially the graphic card and memory. I want to make sure the parts I buy are compatible. Below is the system I had bought by son a few years ago. Any advise is appreciated.

That model uses an AMD 760 Chipset Motherboard. This is a low-end 2009 Chipset model that I would not put much money into, and not add to existing memory.

Minimum Power Supply Requirement for your current card is 500 watts which you don't have.

I don't see any advantage in using more than 8GB of 1600MHz memory. You can buy a 2 x 8GB kit for $150. I don't see any need for it.

You might try a GTX 1050Ti that only needs 300 watt or greater power supply.

Thanks for the help Calvin. Is it even worth upgrading? Or should I just build him a new PC?
