I have upgraded my graphics board, but my FPS in CS:GO and League of Legends are still the same.

Previous graphics: GTX 760 2gb GAINWARD
New graphics :GTX 1060 3gb GEFORCE

Spec:
Processor AMD FX X8 8350, 4000MHz
Kingston HyperX blu 4GB, DDR3, 1600MHz x4 =16 GB
SSD 128 with windows, cs go and LOL
HDD 1gb with others
Thermaltake 750W PSU
Motherboard ASUS M5A99X-EVO R2.0
Samsung 144 hz curved monitor 24"
Windows 10 64bit

Also bought 3 new coolers and created a good airflow inside the case which keep my graphics board and cpu at a good temperature.

When i put my cpu back after i cleaned it though, i fcked some pins and had to straighten them to put them back.

I just re-optimised windows 10, scaned with 5 software for malware and stuff like that and still nothing.

Take note that i run CS:GO on all very low settings and have ~120 fps, droping to 90 in some situations.
My LOL FPS varry between 70 and 160.

Before Graphics update i had the same fps, maybe 10 fps less...

I really don't know what else to do...

Edit: my cs go fps is the same on "very low" settings and on "very high" settings

Solution
You could try going to http://www.userbenchmark.com/Software and downloading the free program that does a good test of your system and shows you issues of performance and what could be bottle necking.

Remember tearing occurs if your hz of your monitor cant match the fps of your game..
Screen tearing is caused by the buffer switch being out of sync with the refresh cycle, which can happen at any frame rate.
Maybe this video can explain better:

Welcome to the bottleneck boat. My FX-8350 bottlenecks my 1060 6gb in most games, like Rise of the Tomb Raider, Shadow of Mordor, and... Minecraft. Yes. Minecraft. The CPU has issues keeping up with draw distance, so the solution is to turn down that setting if possible. The only game I don't get drops in is Total War: Warhammer II, and that's only when I'm running it in DirectX12 mode. Otherwise, the CPU can't keep up with the AI, and turns take forever. Don't get me wrong; the FX is still plenty powerful in many situations, but it got no love from developers for thread management optimizations. And now, well, it's really at its end of life, given that AMD has dropped the SMT architecture in favor of Hyperthreading. I've managed to cut down on some of the latency/stuttering by overclocking the CPU Northbridge, but it isn't anything major.

is that a samsung quantum dot monitor?

here's what i would suggest you to do.

* reinstall drivers, 1) Use DDU, 2) reinstall drivers

* as many have pointed out, it's most likely a CPU bottleneck. the most ingenious way is to make your GPU do all the work by upping the resolution through DSR. this will not result in higher FPS mind you but it will negate the high variance from the minimum/max fps. i did this with my i5-3450/gtx1060 3gb with borderlands 2 and some other games and it resulted to a much more smoother gameplay.

lower resolution = cpu becomes more of a factor
higher resolution = gpu becomes more of a factor.

otherwise, you may really have to buy a new cpu platform altogether.

I was about the mention that too! What's the OP doing pairing that monitor with that budget build, lol.

Wow... I see, thank you. Do you think it also bottlenecked my gtx760? it was having a pretty bad performance.

Thank you for your answer, my friend.
Yes, it's a samsung quantum dot. Your i5 also bottlenecked your gtx 1060?
I have the same fps with DSR indeed and you are right, it's more stable. The fps jumped more before because of the cpu? I can't play on this resolution though, i play at a pretty competitive level and this won't do :(. I will do the ddu thingy now.

The system is from 2013, and i got a great deal on the monitor, like 200E ^^, really needed those 120+ hz.

I have a couple more questions for you my very helpful friends.
Do you guys think there is any chance that it's not a cpu bottleneck? Would there be any chance that i buy another processor and see no upgrade?
If i would get a new processor, which would be the cheapest i could get (i think i'd rather go with intel though from now on lol)? All i do and all i will ever do gaming-related is play League of legends + game capture with obs and play cs:go.
I see there is a decent deal for a Intel Core™ i5-7400, 3.00Ghz, Kaby Lake, 6MB. Would you recommend it? What is the difference between Kaby Lake and Skylake? Which is the main characteristic of the procesor i should base my decision on? (which characteristic gives it's main performance?)

Oky, but what should i do lol?(^_^)

download amd overdrive

https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/amd-overdrive

install & run it.

open benchamark tab,run it

switch back to cpu status tab - this shows all cores, clocks & thermal margins.

Clocks should all hit 4ghz+,thermal margins should all be well above 0c (& in black not red)

This is the amd overdrive when benchmarking:

I also ran msi afterburner while ingame with forced DSR 4k, this is the result:

Your temps look fine. Your voltage is a little crazy, but that might be normal for turbo boost, since your clock is at 4.2 ghz. All 4 FPU’s look fully loaded, but the benchmark doesn’t seem to be utilizing the other 4 integer clusters. I’m not sure if that’s normal. I’ll check mine in a bit, so take my observation as a grain of salt. Also, that’s normal for an alt-tab. What Windows 10 update are you running? I know the Fall Creator’s update broke a lot of my AMD chipset related drivers, so I’m currently trying to revert to an earlier version.

Windows 10 pro, version 1607. About the alt tab tearing, I don't think it's normal, it's some red+blue+white horizontal bars flickering in the middle of my screen for 3 seconds, like screen tearing. I have used a lot of pcs in my life and none of the good working ones did this.

Maybe this graphics board is busted? i could replace it with a new one for free.

Lucky. You didn’t update to 1702 Fall Creators. For what you’re describing, that’s not normal. I was under the assumption that you meant flickering. Check to make sure that 1.) You have placed the card into the pci-e slot fully (I recommend reinstalling it just to make sure) 2.) It is either in slot 1 or slot 4 (most 990fx/990x/970 chipset series motherboards only put full length connections on those) 3.) Make sure you plugged in the PSU pcie power connector.

What resolution you at?
Which driver and version you running?
Which type of cable from gfx to monitor?

I have done that, i even changed the slot, i have 3. Same thing, same fps. All plugged and good to go...

1.1920x1080 (desktop too)
2. Latest driver (388.31)
3. Display port cable for 144 hz

tearing still exists...

Open your Task Manager to see how much of your RAM is being detected. You said you have 4x4GB to make 16GB so make sure it’s being detected.

Also, check for other background processes that may be hogging resources on your system like an anti-virus application or bloatware that you never use. Something is bottlenecking your system and you need to find out what it is.

You can also enter your UEFI/BIOS and ensure that your settings are set to allow for performance and not “eco mode”. Look to ensure all of your RAM sticks are detected as well.

I have done all that, there is nothing left which could bottleneck except the cpu.

I'm thinking about an upgrade...
