I currently have a gt 710 graphics card and would like to upgrade to play some of the newer games on low to medium settings.

So far i have found GTX 1050 TI and and GT 1030 that meet power requirements

My specs are
Intel core i5 3470 @3.2
EVGA Geforce GT 710 @ 1GB
Dual Channel 4X4 GB Ram
And HP 3397 (Socket 0)

Note* Everything listed above is from Speccy

Solution
A 1050ti should be a great match for your rig. I play many new games no problem with a gtx950 2gb and a 2500k at medium to high settings. Most in surround lol. These little cards are great for casual players that dont have money for a 1080 lol.

For a bit more a gtx1060/rx570 would also work but let you play at higher settings.

My concern is how much power comes out of the motherboard pci-ex slot. If it's the standard 75W, then a 1050 Ti would work. Some pre-built HPs will not output more than 25-35W from that slot. In that case, a 1030 has the best chance of working. A 1030 is substantially less powerful though.
