Hello, In Battlefield 4 my GPU usage is average 60% and CPU usage is average 80%. (In most other games too).
I am not getting any stable FPS in any game, people getting more than 150+ stable fps and they have the same rig as me or a bit lower config rig than me. But I am having this problem.

My Config:
Motherboard - Gigabyte H81M-DS2
Processor - Core i5 4460 3.20 GHz
Graphic card - Gigabyte GTX 1050ti 4GB DDR5
Ram - 8+4 = 12 GB 1600 Bus TwinMOS DDR3
PSU - Gigabyte 620 watt
Hard Disk - 1TB WD SATA
OS - Windows 10 64 Bit
Resolution: 1920x1080 60Hz

Solution
Alright the problem is fixed.
I used to use DVI-D to VGA converter to connect my monitor to the GPU. But I changed it to HDMI cable and now problems are fixed. GPU usage is now 98% stable and CPU usage is now 85%.

Every 4 core is sitting around 85-90%

Ye for one BF4 is pretty bad with GPU utilisation.

I use to have a i5 4460 and whenever it started to hit 90% usage my GPU usage went down. I got a i7 4790k off ebay back then and then the GPU on most occasions was 99% on games but lower on games that weren't optimised enough.

How is your system doing with other multiplayer games? Such as games likes Overwatch, Dota 2, Team Fortress 2 and BF1 for example.

My old i5 4460 kinda had its day once it came up against Witcher 3.

same results in BF1 too.

Yeee you need a better CPU, even my old i7 4790K struggled. Its only till i myself got a i7 6800K (i'm not asking you to get 'this one') that my system just sits back running BF1 at like 40% usage. But f

Well i hardly play BF1 as getting access to servers from the UK is terrible, low ping but high latency.

No wait sorry, in BF1 GPU usage is average 95 and CPU usage is 100.

Again yes. Your CPU is reaching its max capacity. I'm surprised BF1 is able to allow your CPU to huff out all of its power without issue.

Its not healthy to have a system running near 90-100% as you want spare power for the rest of your system to run smoothly.

If you installed a Sky/coffeelake i5 or i7 you'd see a major improvement but that would mean a new board, RAM and OS

So CPU shouldn't be the problem because many people said the cpu and gpu combo is perfect. So is there anything that is limiting the gpu power that I might not know?

All i would recommend is lowering CPU demanding settings in games such as lighting, shadows and physics.

Everything is low.

Then i don't see how people said your system was ideal, it may of been for games in 2015 but it ain't now.

If you want to play BF1 on high-ultra you will need either a GTX 1070 or higher for 1080p 60HZ and a current gen CPU, RAM & Motherboard to go along side that.

My system is a monster an even i get low usage on BF4....

Your system is not powerful enough for current gen AAA games

I don't want to play any game on medium or high or ultra. I'm an FPS gamer I only play CS:GO, BF4, BF1, R6.
but the problem here is the GPU usage is lower in BF4, I play every online game in low settings because it's an advantage for us FPS gamers, so aren't there any way to get the gpu usage to reach it's peak?

In some games no as they aren't optimised, on most occasions its the servers fault. Kinda like when i play tf2 and my GPU usage dips down to 50% (144-120 down to 80fps)when like the whole of mine and the enemy team is in one location fighting it off.

Also if your on a 60HZ monitor then their is no point is getting frames above that as the monitor can not display more than 60 frames per second.

And also no your GPU can not give out more frames if the CPU hasn't enough power left to let the GPU work to its full capability as the CPU is to busy with its own tasks. This is called a bottleneck.

I am planning to upgrade the motherboard and i5 or i7 processor to 8th gen, so is it worth it?

Yep that will do just dandy. Just get somewhere around 8-16GB DDR4 RAM
