I want to install a DVD drive in CoolerMaster K380. Please tell me how to remove front panel of CoolerMaster K380 Mid Tower. I have tried pulling out the front pannel from down as written in the manual on page 4 & in your website. However, it does not come out. After seeing several videos online I checked for notches in the sides inside. I am able to feel the notches. However, they are so close to the edge that one can't possibly pull the notches inward nor are they getting pushed outward. Due to the 6 notches (3 DVD slots), that are outward already, I don't think the front panel can be pulled out as stated on page 4 of the manual. Thanks.

I noticed just now that there are selvet screws (machine fixed) from the front panel to the cabinet. Hence, the front panel cannot be opened without breaking it. The only option left is pressing the notches at both ends to remove the mesh so that the DVD drive can be pushed in. Does anyone know how to pull those notches or any other way? It's brand new I don't want to break it.

I got the solution yesterday. There are 6 notches 3 on each side. You have to push both the middle ones first together from inside. Then the top ones & then the bottom ones. The front panel is delicate from the sides & hard plastic in the front. The salesman told me that he has had quite a no of customers in the past who fought with him because the front panel broke completely from the sides because they pulled it too hard from the bottom as described in the manual on page 4. Since I have done several PC installations for various offices, the salesman sold this to me. Previously for 2 Xtech cabinets I had fought with him because the alignment of the DVD drive button would not match with the flap button. My client had to break the flaps to use the DVD drives. Regarding the mesh, there are side extentions to it. Only after removing the front panel completely, you will be able to push the mesh inward from the front panel to pull it out. This again is delicate & can break with the slightest force. I want to profusely thank all members of Tomshardware website makers & administrators. 5 years back I started learning how to install a PC from this website. I assembled my first PC alone only by referring to the i7 CPU manual & Tomshardware website. Thank you.

Dear hang-the-9 the salesman & other retailers as well stated that all the CoolerMaster K380 cabinets cannot be pulled out from the front. There are no clips but 6 small extentions that have to be pulled in from inside the cabinet. The cabinets that can be pulled out that too, without pressure are an older model of CoolerMaster but not K380, which is not available now. Yes the manual has an error. Thank you.
