Hi,

Im looking to build my first gaming rig and Im looking to spend around £800-£950. Im wanting to build something thats going to last for quite a while and able to play the latest games smooth as possible. Would the parts below work together? Im not looking to overclock and if there are other parts that would do just as good a job but are cheaper any advice would be appreciated.

CPU - i7 7700k

GPU - Palit GeForce GTX 1060 Super JetStream Graphics Card - 6 GB GDDR5 - 1620 MHz

MOBO - ASUS PRIME Z270-K ATX Motherboard LGA1151 Socket

Memory - Crucial - Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400

Cooling - cryorig h7

Case - Kolink aviator midi tower white

Power supply - ?

OS - Win7 or win10?

Many thanks

Solution
8400 is a locked cpu and the stock cooler should be plenty, unless you are gaming 24x7, which I very much doubt.
But if you want better cooling anyways, you can get the Cryorig H7. It is a very very good unit in terms of price to performance ration.
The new Coffee Lake lineup will give you equally good performance with upgrade path... http://www.pcgamer.com/intel-i5-8400-review-the-best-new-gaming-cpu-in-years/

Sorry was in work and didnt have access to this. I was researching and seen the i5-8400 was pretty much on par with i7-7700 which is very good and for the price as I would only be using the pc for gaming (no streaming/vid editing).

What about in terms of cooling? Would the part I suggested be suitable for this suggested build?
