Corsair Vengeance RGB and Z370 Motherboards

So I came across a review for the RAM kit in question and it appears that the RGB control only works with certain chipsets. From what I can gather, it is only supported on X370, and Intel Z170 and Z270. (Corsair officially says Intel 100/200 series, but that is not entirely true either, it seems they do not work on H-series boards can't find information on B-series boards)

I have also come across several forum posts about the RGB lighting not working properly on any Z370 board. On most of these it says a fix is supposed to be released soon but then the post dies away and no response is ever given if a fix was actually released.

Can anyone confirm that Vengeance RGB lighting is actually working on the Z370 boards now? I am probably going to upgrade in the next month or so, and I'm not spending $250 on RGB ram that isn't controllable.

Since no one has answered this in almost three months....

I called Corsair Support since I was finally at the point where I am actually looking to buy the RAM. They said if the RAM is on the QVL for the MB it will work. Idk how but apparently the lighting is controlled by voltage so as long as it's on the QVL it should work. If it's not on the QVL you'll just have to hope for the best I guess.

I went ahead and ordered it.

Works great with my Asus ROG Maximus X Formula. (my sticks are on the QVL)

For Aura sync you have to set the RAM to static mode in Corsair Link, then the modules work properly.

Have yet to set xmp for the RAM but I am hoping it will go well.

That's one person confirming that these two will work together. Good news for me coz I'll be buying the set of RAM with a Asus Z370 F Gaming Mobo. Thanks alot for sharing the information friend.. :)
