I installed my Asus 1060 3gb on my PCIe just recently. I don't have an adapter yet for the monitor so I was planning on using the motherboard's VGA slot for the monitor. I turned the PC on after installing the GPU and nothing showed up. (no bios, just blank screen. pc sounds fine) Is there something wrong with my motherboard? Also, do I have to uninstall my previous 750 Ti driver for 1060 to work?

Just looked inside case. gpu fans are running fine. is my motherboard fked up?

Solution
If you havent bought the adapter yet remember it needs to be active, powered by usb or ac to convert the signal, digital to analog or vice versa. Passive adapters won't work.

Yes usually onboard video is disabled if a gpu is present. You wont be able to use the 1060 until you get either an active adapter or monitor with the necessary inputs.

Whats your cpu and does it have integrated graphics? The motherboard's vga is for igpu only, it wont passthrough the graphics card. I suggest putting your 750ti back until your ready for the 1060.
