How do i fix those controller battery contacts if i can? And is it good idea?

i got old Wii controllers with rechargable batteries in it and they were used a lot and i really like them and i can find use for them on my pc and i want to fix them because contacts that are on bottom of it dont really transfer electricity on dock

I don't know about Wii controllers, but Xbox ones have ordinary AA rechargeable batteries inside.
As for these contacts - clean them with some alcohol, then brush them with very fine sandpaper, and clean them again. You might also want to check the place where these contacts touch, and clean there as well.

i cleaned up a bit contacts and i also took apart dock and checked stuff inside and the plastic casing seems to be weaken out and change a size in just very few milimiters and contacts were falling into the case
+ those controllers can hold AA batteries too
