Hello, as of late i've been having a problem with my build where it will freze or crash somewhere along the process of rendering a video, regardless if the video is 3 or 30 minutes lang.

so let's talk details, personally i thought about overclocking, drivers or the software
- none of my specs are overclocked
- my drivers are up to date
- as for premiere pro (wich is what i use) it shouldn't be that because this issue also comes up in sony vegas pro and other free software that i tested.

As for my build these are my specs
- MSI GAMING X Geforce GTX 1080
- Intel I7-6700K
- MSI GAMING M5 Z170A
- 16GB of corsair vengeance DDR4 RAM
- 650watt PSU
over 2 tb of free ssd harddrive space as well as 5+ external terrabytes

i'm not the most tech savy so idk what could be causing it
your help would be appreciated

if it's blue screening then it's probably a driver.

If the pc is hard freezing or black screen rebooting, it's probably a power issue. (either not enough or bad inconsistent power) Might be a heat issue as well, though typically you get some warning somewhere about it that's not always the case. If you want to rule out heat, pop the side of the case off, stick a fan in the opening running full blast. If you still are getting that issue then it's probably power related.

well i explained all my specs etc to my brother in law and he said it should not be possible that its the power supply
as for temperature, according to msi afterburner it doesnt go over 60 no matter what
and the caseside has allways been off

as for the freeze it's either a freeze where the complete screen is just frozen, or it crashes, pops up a blue screen with the text that the pc crashed and that it needs to restart and that it's sending data to microsoft

well idk, i'm using an nvidia graphics card but as far as software the only things task managers show me are nvidia container, nvidia performance service, nvidia ntune command and nvidia share
