Programs crashing and hardware compatibility

The story:
Custom PC works 100% good at first. Then, I had to change motherboard. Now, programs keep crashing.

Problem in detail:
I'm running Windows 10. When using Google Chrome, just watching youtube or something, Google Chrome randomly closes--with no freezing, no "not responding" message--it just suddenly closes. I start Chrome again, and it says "chrome didn't shut down properly...restore?" This happens once every 15 minutes or so.

But that's just one example. A lot of my adobe software (like after effects or illustrator) do the same thing. Randomly crashing every 15 minutes or so.

And another example: Windows 10 "Movies & TV" app (the default app used to play media) does the same thing: randomly crashes every 15 minutes or so.

For all these instances, not only do they crash WHILE using the program, they also crash when starting the program, failing to open. For example, in the Movies & TV app: I click on the app, it opens up for 1 millisecond, then immediately closes by itself. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 attempts to have it finally start.

What I've tried:
- Clean reinstall of Windows 10
- Updating all these apps
- Graphics Drivers is up to date

PC specs:

Motherboard:
GIGABYTE GA-Z270N-Gaming 5 LGA1151 Intel Z270 RGB FUSION HDMI DP USB3.1 Type-C Mini-ITX DDR4 Motherboard

RAM:
Kingston Technology HyperX FURY Black 32 GB Kit 2133 MHz CL14 DIMM DDR4 Internal Memory (HX421C14FBK2/32)

CPU:
Intel Core i7 6700K 4.00 GHz Unlocked Quad Core Skylake Desktop Processor, Socket LGA 1151 [BX80662I76700K]

GPU:
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC GAMING ACX 3.0, 8GB GDDR5X, LED, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC) Graphics Card 08G-P4-6183-KR

PSU:
FSP Dagger 500W Mini ITX Solution / SFX 12V / Micro ATX 80 Plus Gold Certified Full Modular VR / 4K Ready Gaming Power Supply (SDA500)

SSD:
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E250B/AM)

This is my first time building a PC. The initial build was fashioned together by my experienced friend. But when I had to change the motherboard, I actually picked the new motherboard myself (listed in the spec above); only paying attention to "LGA 1151" and the "Mini-ITX." But are there more specifications that I had to consider for compatibility? Does the motherboard chipset compatibility have to do with it? Do you think this is even a hardware issue at all?

Thank you

Wow I didn't even see that. Thank you so much for your help.

Do you think there are any other issues in my build? If not, I'm about to order the new power supply.

The new 500W PSU arrived. I installed it, and the problem is still there. Movies & TV app, Adobe apps, and google chrome keep crashing. Is there any other suggestion?
