Hello, there.

I love my 5 year old phenom X6 and I can do almost everything with it, the only problem is that in some games like Battlegrounds my fps is kinda low to the point of dying because of it.

BUt I dont want (dont think its worth) to buy a entire new PC just to play one game.

My ideia is to upgrade just the GPU, but I don't want to spend "too much" in a GPU that will bottleneck in Phenom X6.

Can you guys help me choose the BEST gpu for Phenom X6 1100T ?

My GPU now: Radeon HD7970 (was a monster in her time)
Ram: 4x2gb 1333mhz
Windows and batttlegrounds running in the SSD.

For PUBG stick with Nvidia. The 7970 is on par with the 1050 Ti. So then to 'upgrade' your GPU you need a minimum of a 1060. The Phenom II's game performance was greatly affected by clock speed. So it would be helpful if you could overclock your CPU. The truth is that PUBG is a prime example of a game that benefits from newer hardware. For that game you really do need a modern CPU...which means a new motherboard and ram too.

PUBG might be only one game but if it's what you play a lot then that's all that matters.

With the price of ram quadrupled, and the mania of cryptocurrency at full pace and the refusal of the 3 ram mans. refusing to ramp up production due to their record profits, you could not have picked a worse time to upgrade. The only two feasible options(IMO) are the RX 570 4 gig around $229 and up or the GTX 1060 3 gig starting at $200. To give you an idea of the price hikes, the 570 had a starting msrp of $180 7+ months ago. You might try to oc every aspect of your pc, ram, vid, cpu, if you can and hold off until the market regulates.
