RAMs high freq with lower freq and different size on same mobo?

Hi community. I askin cuz its something new for me.

My config is
CPU i7 6700K
MOBO Asus z170 pro gaming
RAM HyperX 16GB (2 x 8) DDR4 2400MHz (xmp profile to 2400MHz at uefi bios)

Today i won online msi contest and got 32GB RAM Corsair Vegeance (probably 2 x 16GB but maybe 4 x 8 dont know yet)

Tomorow i will be mailed if its rgb 3200 or 300MHz

The mobo is

As written it support: 4 x DIMM, Max. 64GB, DDR4 3466(O.C.)/3400(O.C.)/3333(O.C.)/3200(O.C.)/3100(O.C.)/3000(O.C.)/2933(O.C.)/2800(O.C.)/2666(O.C.)/2600(O.C.)/2400(O.C.)/2133 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory

My questions are:

1. if i get this can i use 3000/3200 MHz with that mobo?

2. if i get 2 x 16 can i use with that mobo and combine with my current 2133 MHz - 2 x 2 kits ? Or better use 32gb 3000Mhz than combine freq and latecy to get 32 (new) + 16 (old) even if can get 48GB RAM - or its no sense with that CPU? For my purpose 16 is sometime not enough so its nice to get 32 and probably never will use power of 48 ^^ but it would be pro xD

3. even if i can run both sets (2 x 8 + 2 x 16) with different clock on same mobo probably no way to use xmp? cuz its different settings for each kit?

    1. If XMP has been enabled in your BIOS memory settings, it should work at the speeds advertised (3200 or 3000).

    2. I wouldn't mix new memory with older ones, personally. High chance for errors and/or incompability. With 32GB you already have a lot.

    3. Don't run the at different speeds, wouldn't recommend it.

So if one (current) kit is 2400mhz and secound (new one) kit would be 3000 - second one wont be auto downgraded to slower one?
  3. It might not run at all, it might run both at 2400 Mhz. Both situations are possible.
  4. Hi very old thread but i made a tests and benchmarks. I combined 2x8 2400Mhz cl12 (HyperX) with 2x16 3000 cl16 (Corsair) - i set them stable all on cl16 3000mhz and cl15 2800Mhz - even aida64 memory test was stable. One thing - 48GB cl15 was faster and lower latecy than 3000 cl16

one issue were temps - HyperX ath this OC were hottier in hand than corsairs where this clocks were dedicated
