So just one day ago I finally managed to get my GPU get a display on my monitor via the HDMI cable. After Windows 10 started up I had to install the latest nVidia drivers for my GTX 1060 6GB, however during the installation of the drivers my screen got filled with green dots and it froze several times. After that the monitor lost signal of my PC. After that I removed my GPU and started my computer up via the VGA cable and downloaded DDU to remove all te nVidia drivers etc (I did not do this in safe mode) and restarted my pc. Upon installing the GPU again it only gave me a black screen. The VGA still works however but only when the GPU is removed. Does someone has a solution of getting rid of the black screen when my GPU is plugged in the PCI-E Slot?

Yes its a new GPU, I don't know which motherboard I have as it is a pretty old one but the GTX 1060 6GB is capable of putting a display on the monitor, as I mentioned before I was able to get a display through the GPU once but after installing the drivers it got me a black screen.

Intel i5 2400 @3.1 Ghz

I am 99% sure its the board issue its not campatable with the NEW GPU you need the UEFI bios
see if there is any bios update for your system

I have an HP 611835-001 motherboard and I've just updated the BIOS and still got a blackscreen, so it really is my motherboard?
