Solution
I have the same RAM (CL16 variant - probably the one you're getting), and I could not get past 2933. It would power cycle at 3200, and crash randomly at 3066.

Ideally you'd want to get RAM that is on your motherboard's QVL. G.Skill DOES have Ryzen-specific Trident Z RGB RAM but I don't think it's currently available in the U.S. (at least as far as I can see). Your best option if you really want that RAM is to get the CL14 variant, which has Samsung B-Die ICs. It will significantly improve your chances of hitting 3200MHz, of course at the expense of added cost.

As always, RAM not on your motherboard's QVL is hit or miss at best and you can't expect full speed if it's not on that list.
