the preferences i then search for the most for it to have is optane ready and 8 to 6 sata slots. i also want a little knowledge on how optane works. also what kind of good ram i can buy. ranging from the best ram to the economical route of choices.

Try pcpartspicker.com, enter in your CPU and then select CPU. It will display a large number of compatible motherboards at all sorts of price points. If your case is a standard one, I would suggest you get an ATX. If you want a larger motherboard (such as an e-atx, check that your case supports this. I would recommend you not get a micro or itx unless you have a very small case as those tend to be missing features and connections that an ATX would have.

Z370 was strictly made for the coffee lake processors. For budget I recommend the Gigabyte AORUS Z370 Ultra Gaming. But if you want the best Z370 motherboard. Go for the Gigabyte AORUS Z370 Gaming 7.
