I just purchased all the components for my 550 dollar budget having build, so I'm wondering how I did. I've heard great things about this forum, so I decided to see what you guys think. Keep in mind that this was bought on Black Friday, so the parts may have raised in price tremendously. Thanks ahead of time, and don't forget... This is my first experience on this forum, so don't blow it XD.

Thanks ahead of time :)

Are you planning to overclock? That board isn't the greatest to OC with it is fine at stock voltage but I've read reports of problems when you have to fiddle with the power. If that is your intention. I would switch out the CPU with a Ryzen 1200. Then use the money saved for an ASUS Strix B350-F. Which has excellent power handling, plus higher end features. When you overclock. A Ryzen 1200 is exactly the same as a 1300x plus or minus your luck in the CPU lottery.

RAM: I'd look at getting at least DDR4 2400. Although not at the expense of a better motherboard.

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 3 1200 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor ($99.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus...
I dislike micro atx motherboards, not very expandable. I upgraded the ram. I think a 120gb SSD is going to be very cramped very fast, so I bumped it to 256.

He already purchased the hardware.

You did a great job with the components , good choices , just not a fan of the memory but it will be a nice setup for you.

First time choices , very well done! :)

I think that the motherboard will be the first to be upgraded, along with the a larger SSD once I get the cash, but Its a really tight budget, so I had to scimp on a few things. As for the CPU, I may do overclocking in the future, but for now I just want to have the ultimate plug and play experience, without screwing with Many of the settings. I agree the Ram is sub par, but I decided the performance gain from faster ram, is not enough to change some of the more important factors.
