Hey!

I recently installed and ssd to act as a boot drive for my storage hdd.

My original Hdd had a separate os partition, so I took advantage of this by using software to migrate just the os partition to the ssd. You'd think that's would be the end of it..

But for whatever reason the os clone on the ssd failed to restart everything time no matter what I tried.

One of the things I did was rebuilding the bcd and I also ended up doing all sorts of windows repair things to get it to boot, but nothing worked!

I tried for a day longer but I decided I had no other choice then to do a clean install of Windows!

I want to note that before I did any clean install there was a os: and a system reserved partition (on the ssd) and when I started it up it would ask to start up on the recovered windows 7 or it would give me other other start up options.

I then did a clean installation of windows 7 on the ssd and after a lot of setting up it all is working exactly as it should.

But the one confusing thing is that it didn't create another system reserved partition I think it may have just added the boot information to the old system reserved partition.

So now everytime I boot it asks to boot on the windows 7 recovery os or the windows 7 recovery os. There is also an option to press f8 and start windows normally....

There are 2 boots that show up every time it starts up, but no matter which one I choose it starts up fine!

I think there was an overlap on the system reserved partition and I think if I delete the right files in there that it'll just have one boot again and have no problems. But ideally I would want to "start windows normally* not I the recovers boot!

I need to delete files, but I'm really not sure which file(s) would be the right one. So I need help!

Anything will be muchly appreciated!

(in the system reserved partition)

It would help if you would provide a screenshot of Disk Management, ensuring that the screenshot includes the schematic for both your installed drives as well as the upper portion of DM so as to include the info in the various columns just below the icon menu bar (the info in the columns from "Volume" to "% Free".

Hey man!

Man, I spent a couple of days getting all the settings and software back on it I need I wouldn't be prepared to do that anytime soon!

It was just the system reserved partition that got confused I think, I think it should be possible to edit the old bcd or just delete the right file to get it to boot without going to that screen.

It keeps thinking that it has been booted incorrectly and comes up with 2 windows recovery options windows 7 recovered and an identical one!

I'm hoping there's an easish fix!
