I have one computer in the house getting only 20kb/s, which is pretty much unusable. Other 2 computers are getting about 6mb/s. The other two are very close to the modem (it has a built in router) one wifi one ethernet. The slow computer is across the house, but gets almost full signal. I'm not sure why it is getting such slow internet, and this is a new very expensive computer so any help is much appreciated, thanks.

Edit: Here is some more info. I built the computer myself, first time build. Running msi b350 tomahawk mobo, Ryzen 1300x CPU, gtx 750 ti gpu, Windows 10 (trial version) OS, and wlan adapter is a wifox 600mb/s little usb adapter. Hope that might help.

Might not be a bad idea to visit the website for the manufacturer of the adapter and see if there are any updated drivers. If there are, I'd download and install them. Alternatively, you can go into the Windows 10 control panel by right clicking on the start menu, clicking on Run, type Control, go into device manager, find your adapter under network adapters, right click on your adapter and select Update driver to see if Microsoft has an updated driver for your device.

Yes all the three computers have windows 10.
Btw sorry for taking so long to respond, and thanks for replying fast.

Edit: also maybe worth noting the two close to the modem/router are running Win 10 Home (Licensed), meanwhile mine is only trial. Not sure if that may be an issue.

Just read another question similar to mine. He said using a different wifi adapter improved it significantly. I could try using another adapter that I have tomorrow, but right now i'm in bed.
Ill post the results.

Okay so i just switched the adapters I'm using for this computer and the other one, and both are faster. the other is running about 8MB/s now, and this one is running about 1MB/s. i'm still not very happy with that, but it is at least usable. I'm replying right now on my computer, whereas before i had to on my phone.

Edit: Also i should mention the adapter I switched it out for is a netgear n3100 v3 or something like that. it's pretty big, about 3 times the size of the other one.
