First Boot: CPU_Fan error

After booting for the first time, first thing I noticed was that my Kraken x62 didn't light up. However, the pump and fans all seem to be working. After post, before telling me to press F1 to get to BIOS I get a message: CPU_Fan Error. My motherboard is an Asus Strix Z370i. In the BIOS, CPU_fan shows N/A. I feel like it might be related to how I connected it all. I'm using the NZXT Manta case and have the Fan Hub connected to CPU_Fan as per the manual. The hub has a CPU cooler extension port and the 3-pin connection of the Kraken is connected there.

Any ideas on what could be wrong? Should I have not connected the Kraken on the Manta's fan hub?

But AIO_Pump and Cha_fan don't have PWM. Ill provide some more information so you see what I'm saying. Could it be that I have a defective AIO or fanhub?
The Kraken's manual tells you to connect it to CPU_fan. However, the fan Hub manual tells you to connect the hub to CPU_fan and your cpu cooler to the CPU cooler extension cable on the hub. The fans on the radiator are directly connected to the Kraken as the manual instructs (for it to behave as a single unit.)

However, apparently nothing is being detected at CPU_fan and everything is running at 100% (fans and pump). Furthermore, the Kraken is not lighting up.

Tried what you said and also connection the Kraken directly to CPU_fan. Outcome didn't change. I'm starting to think that maybe my Kraken's faulty...? (Hopefully it's not the motherboard)

I could connect the 2 fans of the Kraken in the CPU_fan because they wouldn't reach and I had two anyways. Regardless I ran a similar test. All the fans connected to Cha_fan, Kraken connected to AIO_pump and then connected the rear exhaust fan to the Cpu_fan.

CPU fan shows: 850~900 rpn
CHA FAN: N/A
ALSO pump: N/A

Kraken still doesn't light up nor detected. Glad mobo seems to be right though.

I'll ask Amazon for a replacement. Still hasnt been 30 days.

I also tried putting the rear fan on the hub where the CPU cooler extension is and it also shows on the BIOS, so the fan Hub isn't the problem.

Got the replacement delivered this morning from Amazon. After cleaning the old thermal paste and installing the new cooler just as I installed the first one the first time-- it immediately lit up and no error this time around. Writing this reply from my first self-built rig! :D
