Has anyone had trouble with TL-SG1008D gigabit switch disconnecting?

Sometimes my Internet will go out for a minute or two at a time then come back, then go out again. I think it's the switch, and am wondering if anyone has any recommendations to replace it. I've only owned it for a few months, and am not sure that I want to send it in and get a replacement since I bet the next one will do the same thing. It has 4.5 stars on Amazon, so I figured it'd be reliable.

Pretty much you got unlucky. Most switches even from unknown manufactures just run forever causing no issues. The technology is very mature so they figured out any part that would fail a lot already. In most cases the problem with switches is power related, the power blocks tend to be the thing to fail. They are pretty standard so you could swap it out.

Since almost all companies contract out the building of their device to companies like foxconn you can't pick a brand because they say have a better manufacturing process.

Thank you. I'm either going to try what you suggested or I'm also considering an industrial switch since the temperature occasionally goes above or below the specs, but probably only 2-7 days of the year, so I'm not sure if it's worth the added cost.
