Keyboard and mouse shut off by installing windows 7

I need some help with my computer. It's a new one. And i was installing windows 7. But when windows boots up and goes to the screen where i have to fill in my name my keyboard and mouse stop working completely. I tried putting them in different usb ports several time.

the computer is new and windows 7 has been retired. there are better than good odds that the drivers windows has are too out of date.(hardware was made after windows 7 retirement) you need to add the drivers to the windows install ISO, a process called slipstreaming.
