I have a Tecra R850 with an i3 processor. I want to upgrade to an i7.

Which model i7 would best work for this or is it even possible?

Just upgraded my Toshiba Tecra R850 CPU to i7-2760QM and 16 Gb RAM (runs on 1600MHz ). So far stable. Stress test for 5 min - 100% CPU use Tem 83C. Be sure to use latest Bios (Version 4.10 )) and use good thermpaste. .
