Can I share a 200 GB file between 2 SSDs (NOT IN RAID) ???

(The SSDs are both from Corsair and they have 120 GB each)

THANKS :D

Solution
From an Operating System standpoint, the two SSDs will use different partitions. There is no way to span a single file across multiple partitions that I know of. I think that the only way you could do that is to build a RAID 0 array with the two SSDs and partition that as a single 240GB partition. That should give you sufficient space to hold the file. Of course this really depends on exactly how much space is really available on your SSDs, you need to take OP into consideration as well.

2 x 120GB drives, and a 200GB "file" is almost the total capacity of those drives, even in a RAID 0.
A 120GB drive is actually only 109GB actual space.

I'm not sure even StorageSpaces in windows would do this.

What is this file, and why does it need to live on the SSD(s)?

What do you mean by "share"??
No reason why two different ssd devices can not be installed together, much like multiple hard drives.
If you mean can they be combined into a single 200gb address space, then yea, that is possible.
One way might be to use raid-0.
That has reliability implications.
The other which I am not completely certain how to do is to set up a JBOD or single group of devices.
You do that in windows.
