New Ryzen build freezes randomly for a second

Hello,

I have recently built a Ryzen PC, updated BIOS to latest version, installed Windows 10 and all of the required drivers, fine, but after an hour or so I have noticed these random freezes occurring, or should I call it stuttering. It's mostly noticeable when playing music as a buzzing sound could be heard from the speakers during the freeze, however, it doesn't last longer than a second.

I know this isn't much of an issue, but it still bothers me and it's kinda annoying to be honest.

Specifications:

CPU: Ryzen 3 1200 @ 3.5GHz (OC from 3.1GHz - 56C stress test) w/ Wraith Stealth Cooler
MOBO: MSI B350M GAMING PRO
GPU: GIGABYTE GTX 1050 Ti (not OC - 50-60C gaming)
RAM: ADATA XPG D10 Gammix 8GB @ 2666Mhz (1 stick, should've been 2 but they sent one...)
HDD: WDC Blue 1TB 7200RPM
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 256GB
PSU: Corsair VS450 450W

I have tried using BIOS defaults, without OCing the CPU but the issue still persists.
Any suggestions on what I should do to knock off that issue are appreciated!

I would first try to see if there are any tasks eating up your cpu cycles.

-Go to Windows power settings, set to high performance mode.
-Don't really like the one memory stick setup. Really slows down the computer. Try to get another 8GB stick. Try to get the same exact RAM (Brand, Model, timings, etc)
-Get HWInfo and run the sensors and see if there's any temp issues, like 90C+ on anything.
-Try unplugging your WD drive and see if the issue is still there.

--I got a feeling it's RAM issue. Just my gut feeling from building lots of computers.

@Paul NZ I haven't unplugged the HDD while installing Windows on the SSD, is that required as I'm not aware?

@gasaraki Will do that in a few and get back to you, thanks.

EDIT:

- Power plan is set to high performance, turn off hard disk set to: Never.
- Yeah, I don't like 1 stick setups either, they were supposed to be 2x4GB, but the online store messed the order up.
- Temperatures are good, I think: | MOBO/SYS - 40C | CPU - 43C | SSD - 31C | HDD - 29C | GPU - 38C |.
- I'll try that as soon as I can.

If you install more rhan 1 hdd, you should unplug the hdds youre not installing windows on

Because windows files / inc the boot file can end up on the wrong hdd. Once you install Windows on the hdd you want to install it on, reconnect the other hdd/s

I have both a SSD as my main drive and a 2TB as a secondary. The secondary was plugged in when installing Windows (multiple times, 7. 8.1, 10) never had an issue where Windows was installing stuff to the second drive. EVEN if windows installed stuff to the second drive, it shouldn't cause micro freezes.

Yeah, I guess plugging out the HDD while installing Windows on the SSD would be a good practice, but as gasaraki said I doubt it'll cause the freezes.
Strange thing is that I did the same on my previous build and it worked just fine, so it should be something else causing issues?

EDIT: I have removed the HDD and reinstalled Windows 10 today while only the SSD is plugged in, the issue still persists and I have just encountered the micro-freeze for a split second as I write this. Any other suggestions?

Oh shit lmao, I'm not using CAM, but I'm pretty sure MSI Afterburner/RivaTuner is the same and I'm using that.
Will uninstall both and let you know if it goes well, thanks.

Alright, so, I have uninstalled MSI Afterburner/RivaTuner and was giving myself false hopes that it was the root of the issue, unluckily - it isn't.
The freezing occurred again before a minute, I have noticed this in the process explorer at the same time, not sure if its it causing the stutters.

I did a clean install of Windows just yesterday with only the SSD plugged in, I'll do it once again for the sake of getting rid of that annoying stuttering once I finish working on the PC.

In the meantime, is there any software from this list that is known to cause micro-freezes in Windows 10?

- Rainmeter
- SteelSeries Engine 3
- Samsung Magician
- Gyazo
- Opera Browser

Thanks.

Will do that before reinstalling again, gonna download Malwarebytes and Adwcleaner and let them check for anything suspicious.

Avast Antivirus: No Threats
MalwareBytes: No Threats
ADWCleaner: No Threats
JunkwareRemoverTool (JRT?): No Threats
HitmanPro: No Threats

I honestly don't want to think it's a hardware issue as I built this PC a few days ago and expected it to be stable, but oh well...

Good news is that these processes on the picture are gone now and I haven't experienced any freezes for now.

I think these were Windows Defender processes, which makes me think it's exactly what was causing the freezes, anyway, I have installed Avast just for the scans and it disabled Windows Defender, after that everything went smooth - no freezes for now.

Before coming to a conclusion, has anyone (Windows Defender user) experienced (or experiencing) these freezes?

Hell if I know anymore... seems like even the RAM I'm using ain't compatible with the motherboard (at least I couldn't find it on their list), or the motherboard itself is faulty, I'll give it a last try by uninstalling the graphics driver with DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in safe mode and then install the latest one manually, if that doesn't do the trick I'll be giving up and most likely look forward to return the motherboard/ram.

Doing a clean install of the graphic drivers didn't fix it, stopped Rainmeter, Gyazo, Samsung Magician and SteelSeries Engine 3 as I'm suspicious it could be one of these applications, will test for few hours and let you know.

Disabling C6 state didn't fix it, it froze for a second once again just now, I noticed the CPU throttled down to 218Mhz in HWMonitor when that happened, like what the hell? What would make it throttle?
