So I'm having this very peculiar problem. My Asus strix gl702vs boots straight into bios on booting. BUT. I did some research online which said disable secure boot and enable csm support and enable launch PXE OpROM policy. Which didn't help at all. But when I restarted it again and went to boot menu and disabled all these and restored to default, voila! Windows was booting again. Now the problem. I have to repeat these exact steps in that order to boot into windows! Everytime I boot, it goes into bios, I enable csm support, boot, and again restart to bios, set to default again and boot. Only then it boots to windows. I've tested this multiple times and this works. What might be the problem?

I think CMOS is fine. It seems like sometimes it detects the OS on the ssd and sometimes it doesn't. Its not even listing the ssd as a bootable device at times. I cant change the boot priority if it doesnt list it there. Thanks for the idea though. Do you think its the windows boot manager that is corrupted? Can a clean windows install help? Also everything is fine with the drives i.e., according to windows. There is absolutely no sign of a corrupt SSD or any performance drop. Except for the boot:(

No what i meant is, once i make some tweaks in the bios such as enabling csm support, it saves it and the next time i boot, its still enabled. No settings are set to default on its own unless i change it. :( the only thing its not saving is the list of bootable devices. i'll still get the cmos checked. Thanks CountMike. Any other suggestions? Also can it be a bad block on the SSD? Any solution is appreciated :)

One thing that might be assumed but I don't see how you exit BIOS. Do you do press F10?

Yeah. F10 to save settings and exit i.e., reboot.
